December 6th, 2009New Works: Ocean Monument Series
December 6th, 2009Sea stacks called “The Twelve Apostles” stand off the coast of South Australia. The winds and currents of the Southern Ocean beat them mercilessly yet they stand sentinel-like; apparently invincible yet constantly eroded by the sea and the wind. I built this series to reflect the sense of ceaseless movement that imbues this land and sea scape at the edge of a continent.
